Planning has already started for ITSA’s first conference to be held in the Republic of Indonesia. The exciting island tourism destination of Bali provides a fantastic and appropriate venue for ITSA’s fourth major conference and its second to be held in Southeast Asia.

ITSA is fortunate to have an outstanding local Indonesian Conference Chair to guide the overall planning for Bali 2012. Prof. Wiendu Nuryanti of Universitas Gadjah Mada, in Yogyakarta is one of the top scholars on tourism, culture and heritage in Indonesia. This will ensure that there is excellent participation and contents from all parts of Indonesia. Prof. Nuryanti will be assisted by Drs. Mimi Li of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Dr. Hannah Shen of Fudan University.

The 4th ITSA Biannual Conference Committee is hard at work at the moment in choosing the conference theme, dates, and venue for the event. Further details will be provided later on this website.
